Dozens Live & Dead Cats Found Inside Woman's Home

Charges are expected in a horrific animal abuse case in Union City.
Erie county animal cruelty officers served a search warrant Thursday, at 3 Odell Street.
They brought out about 20 cages of live cats, and several bags of dead cats.
The dead cats were found wrapped in bags, and stored in the freezer.
Most of the living cats were in bad condition, covered with fleas, and showing signs of an infection.
An elderly woman lived in the home.
The officers are calling her an 'animal hoarder, somebody who takes in much more animals than they can care for.
"It's horrendous. It's very disturbing. It's almost like a nightmare. It's not something you take lightly and we're going to try to get some help out there for the human." Said Merle Wolfgang, Animal Cruelty Officer with the Humane Society.
"The condition inside are horrific, unsanitary conditions living conditions. No person should be living under these conditions." Said Joe Grisanti with the Humane Society.
Investigators say many of the cats will have to be euthanized.
Animal cruelty officers have tried to work with the woman, the same thing happened back in 2003.
More evidence needs to be collected before charges are filed.
