Mall Property Coming Down

Crews are now tearing down most of a strip mall, which has been part of the Millcreek Mall complex since the 1970's. In recent years, the complex housed Dick's Sporting goods, a Chinese restaurant and a liquor store. But the space now coming down has been vacant for some time. Crews are carefully taking it apart, while removing steel, copper wiring, masonry and other items for recycling. The work should be done by Thanksgiving. Mall owners say they have no firm plans yet for the space. It might be used for future development.
