Man Charged with East Side Hold Up

An Erie man is arrested for robbing an east side gas station.
Police accuse 29 year old Ivan Atkinson of robbing the Sunoco gas station on East 12th and French street.
According to police, Atkinson entered the store around 11:30 Wednesday night, and demanded money from the cashier.
Police say he threatened to punch her if she did not comply.
After quick work by police, police caught up with him and arrested him a short time later, near east 5th and German, after a foot chase.
Atkinson now faces multiple charges, including robbery and disorderly conduct.
