We'll get the ball rolling in the City of Erie this week. Erie County Health Department inspectors didn't find any health-code violations at Billyums Deli on Buffalo Road, along with the new Lombo's Hideaway Cafe on West 10th, the Magic Cookie Company on Raspberry, Stephany's Downtown Bayfront on East Front Street, and Variedadas Reyes on East Avenue. Elsewhere around the county this week, let's give Diamond Dishes to the CVS on West Colubus Avenue, and the Family Dollar on East Smith Street, both in Corry. Same, clean story at the Edinboro Manor on Waterford Street in Corry, and Two J's Pizza on Rice Avenue in Girard. A bunch of schools also got perfect grades from the health department this week. Making the list: Millcreek's Chesnutt Hill and Vernondale Elementary Schools, along with JS Wilson Middle School. In Corry, no violations at the Corry High outdoor concession stand, and the Middle and High School Cafeteria. The Wattsburg Elementary Cafeteria also got an A-Grade, as did the Springfield Elementary. Perfect school reports in the city at Emerson Gridley, the Wiley Charter School, and McKinley and Harding Elementary Schools.
