October 1, 2009, 10:56 am

When Erie County Health Department inspectors went to the BP Stateline Exit 3 Travel Center on Route-6N in Springfield, they found a total of three critical health-code violations. CLICK FOR VIDEO  The first one's about the condition of the food. The inspector says they had eight bottles of milk for sale, but the milk was past its expiration date. They fixed that during the inspection. Their second critical concerns protecting the food from possible contamination by keeping things clean. The concentration level of their sanitizer solution was only about half of what it needed to be. Again, the problem - fixed during the inspection. Critical number 3 is all about the person in charge. The inspector says that person in charge is not performing their required duties, and has been hit with repeated violations in the past. The inspector gave them 24-hours to fix the problem. One critical violation the Olive Garden on Peach Street. It's a problem with their hand washing facilities. The inspector says the Olive garden didn't have a sign or poster at their hand wash sink to remind workers to wash their hands. That problem -- fixed during the inspection.
