The three Lilly Broadcasting stations - WICU, WSEE, and the CW combined talent and resources and made this happen.
"I am overwhelmed. Before I got here to the WICU studios tonight, 22 states and 3 countries have contributed to the telethon based on e-mails," said Mark Neidig, Executive Director of the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.
Our newsroom played host to members of the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation as well as the many selfless volunteers who manned the phone lines we set up. At the Ambassador, we had 20 phones set-up, and the phones began to ring early. Many of our on-air personalities spent hours accepting checks and changing the number boards, it kept on increasing.
Our News Director Julie Eisenman overwhelmed by the public's response for the second year in a row.
"The support we are seeing from the Erie community we are seeing is phenomenal I'm not surprised Erie's a great and they always, always step up when there's a need and this is such a great cause," said Eisenman.
