When Erie County Health Department inspectors went to Rumrunners Cove on the west side of the foot of State Street in Erie, they found a total of five critical violations. One concerned handwashing. The inspector says the Cove had blocked access to an employee hand washing sink. They got another critical thawing out frozen fish in a container that was sitting on the floor. The third critical's because the inspector black residue and pink slime on the inside of their ice machine bin. Critical number four had to do with food temperatures. Some potentially hazardous food wasn't being kept hot enough. That brought an order to take the affected hamburger, chicken and turkey patties and throw it out. The fifth and final critical at Rumrunner's Cove had to do with state certification. The inspector says the person in charge was not performing the required duties. One critical or Orton's Fruit Market on Station Road in North East. The inspector says their ice cream area needed its own hand washing sink. They have 30-days to fix the problem. At the Center Street Restaurant on North Center Street in Corry, a food protection problem led to a single critical. They had raw burger stored above some deli meat and other items. And finally, a return of the Corry Country Club with a single critical. The inspector says their dishwasher didn't have any detergent in it. They have 30-days to fix the problem.
