Thousands of Americans are back on their feet and enjoying life following joint replacement surgery. Saint Vincent Health Center is proud to offer residents in the region with two new options for joint replacement. New to the region and provided by Saint Vincent Orthopedic Surgeons is a procedure called hip resurfacing which is an alternative to total hip replacement for younger, active patients. Also new to the region in orthopedics is gender specific knee replacement implants. These implants are designed specifically for women to provide a better fit and more natural movement because the implant closely matches the shape and size of a woman’s knee.
The Saint Vincent Health Insights reports for November will air Monday through Friday, November 16-20 and will take a closer look at Medical Advances in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery.
